Meaningful ceremonies to honour pregnancy, motherhood and new beginnings

Honouring your
Postnatal Journey

In my desire to honour women in the postnatal period, I have studied traditions around the world, while focusing on what I can offer women here in my community.

I offer a deeply relaxing and powerful postnatal ceremony which includes a specially selected herbal blend for a relaxing and refreshing bath, a postnatal massage with specially selected oils, and a method of rocking the hips for a "closing" or "sealing", both energetically and physically.

My intention is to pass down traditional, grandmother wisdom and to nurture and nourish you, and bestow blessings upon you. I will remind you that you are loved, you are strong, and you are a creator of life. I will remind you that you are good enough, you are appreciated and that you, and your body, are magical.

It is a really lovely ceremony, something every mother deserves.

How it works

  • You rest, restore and relax in the herbal bath while I prepare the space.

  • You then come to the ceremonial space where I provide a ritual that will nourish you, to offer emotional and restorative support after the birth of your baby.

  • You then are invited to go deeper into relaxation with a very gentle massage, followed by the ‘hipping’, or rocking of the hips with scarves.

  • Blessings are bestowed.

  • Wrapping, cocooned, in quite contemplation. (I can incorporate drumming into this portion of the ceremony, if you wish).

  • Unwrapping, and postnatal tea.

The ceremony and massage lasts for about 1.5 hours

Fee: £190 and includes massage oil and gifts. Time for a debrief of your birth can be included for an add of of £50.

What people say

My Postnatal Ceremony was divine. I could relax, and take some deep breathes, reflecting on my pregnancy, my labour and the birth of my child. Erin was gentle and caring. Everything she said was beautiful, and just what I needed to hear. The massage and scarves was soooo relaxing. I definitely recommend.
